Clean Around Your AC

To gain access, lift the top fan out of the unit (it is held down by two or four screws), then use a garden hose to spray from the inside of the unit out. This pushes debris out of the fins and improves airflow. Before starting, make sure to shut off the power to your HVAC through the circuit breaker to prevent the fan from kicking on.
