Equipment Maintenance

Did you know that your cooling system runs about 1,600 hours per year? And you heating system runs about 1,400 hours per year? That's over 66 days of cooling and 58 days of heating!
Let's put this is perspective...

A car driven for 66 days at 55 miles per hour would travel 88,000 miles; 58 days at 55 m.p.h. would travel 77,000 miles. Obviously, no one would ever want to travel those distances without having some maintenance, such as an oil change, lubrication, tune-up and tire and brake service. These services are essential to be able to operate safely, efficiently and reliably for the life of your car.

You rely on your heating and cooling system to serve you more hours than your car, and like your car it requires routine maintenance to operate efficiently, safely and reliably for its designed life.

Maintenance on your heating and air conditioning system is something that we don't think about and yet has one of the most dramatic effects on our utility bills. Manufacturers of heating and cooling equipment today all recognize that annual maintenance of your system is necessary for continued efficiency of systems, safety and life of equipment. This together with extended warranties has caused manufacturers to make annual maintenance a requirement as part of their warranties.

Airco Service offers our "Planned Service" maintenance agreement. This plan gives you a spring and fall system check along with a 10% discount on any parts that might be needed. Maintenance customers are not charged overtime rates if service is needed after hours or on weekends. If service is needed during normal business hours, a 10% discount on labor is given. If your system should need to be replaced, the "Planned Service" gives you a 5% discount on replacement equipment. Airco will call you in the spring and fall to schedule your service so you don't even have to remember to get your system checked. However, if you need or want to have it checked before we call simply call the office and we will schedule you at your convenience.
